Wintertime in the Kingdom of the Polar Bear
Longyearbyen enjoys the Midnight Sun from 19th April to 23rd August, but in the period from 28th October until 14th February, the sun never peaks over the horizon. For more than two months, there is darkness, day as night. Very often you can see the stars, the moonlight and the Northern Light dancing over the horizon, and yes, it is beautiful!
